OPEN REHEARSAL
WorkS-in-Progress by Boys’ Club Tap Dance COLLECTIVE and Kiera Breaugh
Presented by Assembly Hall in partnership with TOES FOR DANCE, with support from ĀNANDAṀ.
Saturday August 24, 1:00-2:30pm at Assembly Hall
Our incoming 2024-25 Process+Practice residency cohort, Boys’ Club Tap Dance Collective and Kiera Breaugh, will perform work-in-progress excerpts of new choreography followed by a facilitated discussion and Q&A. Audiences are invited to watch and ask questions/offer feedback after the showing! You can learn more about the artists and their current choreographic projects here.
We encourage you to arrive with an open mind, and to engage with the artists in the spirit of curiosity and generosity! Your feedback and questions may help inform how the artists continue to shape their projects in the future.
Assembly Hall is fully accessible. An elevator is onsite for access to the second floor Performance Hall, and accessible parking is available both at the front of Assembly Hall and in the Green P Parking lot (located on the south side of Assembly Hall). An accessible washroom is also available.
Please RSVP to secure your spot at this event! All attendees will be asked to sign a Multimedia Release Form onsite prior to the start of the event.
Before this Open Rehearsal event, we will be hosting a Community Workshop titled Intro to Kathak with one of our inaugural Process+Practice residency artists Tanveer Alam! Arrive by 11:30am to participate in this welcoming, free, all-levels class. No previous dance experience necessary. It promises to be an unforgettable day of dance by the lake! More info here.
